A Shivlam spatial computing product

iPhone Pro with LiDAR

Plan the room
you actually have.

DeltaRoomCraft scans your room with your iPhone and builds a real floor plan from real dimensions. Choose a space, a hall, a kitchen, a bedroom, and see furniture laid out in it at true scale. Every piece checked against your real dimensions, with a carpenter-ready spec you can hand over.

The real problem

The beautiful render does not fit your wall. Why AI interior photos have no dimensions.

The AI interior apps restyle a photograph in twenty seconds and the result is lovely. But a photograph carries no dimensions, so nothing ever checks the furniture against your wall. Drag the sofa and watch where it stops fitting.

A render is a mood. A plan is a decision.

The wall does not move, because it cannot. That is the difference between a measurement and a picture of one.

How it works

How the room scan works. Four steps, one walk around the room.

The measuring half of this is already a working product. DeltaRoomCraft adds the half that decides what goes in.

Scan the room

Walk the room once with your iPhone. The LiDAR sensor builds the shell: walls, corners, openings, ceiling height. No tape, and nothing to draw by hand.

Where this is

Where DeltaRoomCraft is today. You get it by asking.

DeltaRoomCraft runs on the capture engine already shipping in DeltaTapeless, so the measuring half of it has been working on real sites for a while.

DeltaRoomCraft is available privately rather than as a public download. Tell us which room you are planning through the form on this page, and we set you up. We onboard in small batches, because the first room is the one worth getting right.

The drawings here are diagrams, at the dimensions written on them. They are there to show how the thing works, not to stand in for a photograph of it.

Choose your space

Hall, kitchen, bedroom, living. Your dimensions, not a template.

Drag the seam on any of these. The left side is what the scan produces. The right side is the same room at the same scale with a layout in it. The numbers do not change when you cross the middle, and that is the entire point.

A hall is decided by what is left over. The bench is sized to leave a walkway wide enough to carry something through.

A kitchen is where getting it wrong is most expensive, because the run is built in. The aisle and the work triangle come off the real dimensions.

The wardrobe is the piece a carpenter will build, so its depth is a number and the door swing is checked against the bed.

Why the geometry matters

Why a LiDAR floor plan beats a photo. Everything is checked before it is offered.

A piece that does not fit is not offered, because the layout is generated inside the measured dimensions rather than drawn over a photograph of them.

01 The scan is the input, not a reference

The restyle apps use your photo as a style reference and invent the rest. We use the scan as the boundary condition: nothing can be placed outside it, because there is nowhere outside it to place anything.

02 Fit is checked before you see it, not after

Every option you are shown has already passed the wall run, the clearance and the door swing. You choose between layouts that work rather than filtering out ones that do not.

03 The numbers survive the picture

Every piece keeps its dimensions all the way through, so you can read them off the layout and hand them over. The picture is a view of the data, not a replacement for it.

04 We had to solve this anyway

Registering a virtual object against a real structure to 2 cm is what DeltaARBIM does on live construction sites. A sofa against a wall is the same problem with better lighting.

The part nobody else builds

Made-to-size furniture, built for how India actually furnishes.

Most furniture in most Indian homes is not bought off a shelf. It is made by a carpenter, to a size, for that room. Every interior app ends at a shopping link to a shop that does not serve that.

Vastu is an optional layer, off by default. When it is on, orientation is taken into account in where things are placed and you are told when it and the geometry disagree, rather than one silently overruling the other.

The comparison

An accurate alternative to Interior AI and ReimagineHome.

Those apps restyle a photograph, and for a mood board they are the right tool. But a photograph carries no dimensions, so nothing in the output is checked against your actual walls. Furniture is scaled to look right in the picture rather than to fit the room.

DeltaRoomCraft starts from a LiDAR scan, so the room has real measurements before anything is placed in it, and a piece that does not fit is never offered. If you want a mood board, use one of those. If you want to order or build from what you are looking at, use this.

Questions

Before you ask.

How is this different from Interior AI or ReimagineHome?

Those apps restyle a photograph. A photograph carries no dimensions, so nothing in the output is checked against your actual walls, and furniture is scaled to look right in the picture rather than to fit the room. DeltaRoomCraft starts from a LiDAR scan, so the room has real measurements before anything is placed in it, and a piece that does not fit is never offered.

How is this different from DeltaTapeless?

DeltaTapeless answers how big is this room. DeltaRoomCraft answers what should go in it. They run on the same capture engine, and DeltaTapeless is the one that ships today. If you measure for a living, that is the product you want. If you are deciding what to put in a room, this one starts where that one finishes.

Do I need a special device?

You need an iPhone or iPad with a LiDAR sensor. That means iPhone 12 Pro or newer Pro models, or an iPad Pro from 2020 onwards. Standard iPhone models do not have the sensor.

Can I scan a room that already has furniture in it?

Yes, and most people will. The scan captures the shell, so the walls, openings and ceiling height are what the plan is built from. Anything the scan could not see, because furniture was standing in front of it, is marked as unseen rather than guessed at.

What do I actually get at the end?

A dimensioned floor plan of the room, two or three layout options at true scale, and a spec for every made-to-size piece in millimetres. You can read the dimensions off any of it, or hand it to whoever is building the furniture.

Does it only suggest things I can buy?

No, and that is the assumption we are deliberately not making. Most furniture in most Indian homes is made to size by a carpenter, so the output is a dimensioned spec rather than a shopping link.

Is Vastu included?

As an optional layer, off by default. When it is on, orientation is taken into account in where things are placed, and you are told when Vastu and the geometry disagree rather than one quietly overruling the other. Leaving it off changes nothing else about the output.

What does it cost?

It is priced for someone furnishing one home, not as professional software. Send a request and we will share the price for your room.
